Modify an Account
For WHM version 11.24
This feature will allow you to select and redefine an account’s settings. For example, you may want to change the account’s main domain.
To begin:
- Select the desired account from the list.
- You may also use the Account Search feature to search for an account by domain or by user.
- Click Modify. The resulting screen will allow you to make the following changes:
- Domain — Defines the main domain name for the account.
- Theme — Defines the default cPanel theme that will be used.
- The x3 theme should be used, as it is the most current.
- Default Language — Defines the interface’s display language.
- UserName — Displays the username associated with the account.
- The username can only be modified for non-reseller accounts.
- Max Email Accounts — Defines the maximum number of email accounts that the new account will be allowed to have at a time.
- Max Ftp Accounts — Defines the maximum number of FTP accounts that the new account will be allowed to have at a time.
- Max Mailing Lists — Defines the maximum number of mailing lists that the new account will be able to have at a time. Mailing lists are handled by an application known as Mailman. For more information about Mailman, visit http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/docs.html.
- Max SubDomains — Defines the maximum number of subdomains for the new account.
- Max SQL Databases — Defines the maximum number of SQL databases for both MySQL and PostgreSQL for the new account.
- Max Parked Domains — Defines the maximum number of parked domains for the new account.
- Max Addon Domains — Defines the maximum number of addon domains for the account.
- CGI Privilege — Allows the account to execute CGI scripts.
- Shell Access — Allows the user access to the server through a command line interface.
- After you have made the desired changes, click Save.
