Initial Quota Setup

This feature initializes a scan to ensure disk quotas are being used where your cPanel users store their files. We recommend using quota support. Without quota support, user will appear to be using 0 disk space and any limits you have set up will not be enforced.

The quota setup will scan your server’s hard drive to ensure that quota support is enabled where users will store their files. If you have not enabled quota support, you cannot specify disk usage limits for your cPanel users.

• Click Proceed to perform the quota scan.

Warning: You must have kernel support for quotas enabled on your server for this feature to work properly. If you have compiled a custom kernel for your server that does not include quota support, do not perform the initial quota setup, as it could result in an unbootable system.
