Nameserver IPs

For WHM version 11.30

( Main >> DNS Functions >> Nameserver IPs)

You can use this feature to view information about your system's nameservers. The information is divided into 3 columns:

Column	Description	Example
Nameserver	The name of a nameserver associated with your system.	ns1.example.com
IP	The IP address associated with the nameserver listed in the Nameserver column.	192.168.0.1
No. Zones	The number of DNS zones hosted by the nameserver. Note: You can use the link in this column to edit a DNS zone.	25

You can also use this feature to edit a particular domain's zone file. To do so:

1. Click the link in No. Zones corresponding to the nameserver whose zone file you wish to edit.
2. Select the domain whose zone file you wish to edit from the Choose a Zone to Edit menu.
3. Click the Edit button.
4. Make the changes you require to the zone file. For more information about editing zone files, please visit our documentation about editing DNS zones.
5. When you are finished making your changes, click the Save button.

Legacy Functionality

Prior to cPanel & WHM 11.30, this feature allowed you to manage your server's nameserver IP addresses. As of cPanel & WHM 11.30, you will need to use the Basic cPanel & WHM Setup screen (Main >> Server Configuration >> Basic cPanel & WHM Setup).

You can continue to manage your resellers' default nameservers using WHM's Edit Reseller Privileges feature (Main >> Resellers >> Edit reseller privileges & nameservers).
