Reseller Settings

For WHM version 11.38

Resellers sell cPanel accounts that can also be hosted on your server. These accounts created by the reseller will be owned by the reseller, and the reseller will be able to modify these accounts via his or her own WHM interface.

Make the account a reseller

Click the Make the account a reseller checkbox if the new account is intended for a reseller.
  • You are not required to create any reseller accounts; however, this may be ideal if you intend to host from multiple servers, as it will decrease your overall workload.

Make the account own itself (i.e., the user can modify the account)

If you wish to allow the new reseller to own the account, click the Make the account own itself checkbox. This will allow the reseller to change his own hosting package, including its quotas and limits. It will also cause bandwidth to be logged to that reseller’s account, rather than the root account.

note Note: It is important to make sure that your resellers have only the amount of access that they need, and only the ability to create the types of accounts they need. Reseller access is one step away from root access and should be treated with care.

Next, proceed to the DNS Settings section.
