Copy a Locale
For WHM version 11.32
(
Main >> Locales >> Copy a Locale)
This feature permits you to duplicate a locale into a standard locale or a non standard locale. A standard locale is a language with data in the
Unicode Common Locale Data Repository (CLDR), while a non standard locale is a language with no data in the CLDR.
How do I duplicate a locale into a standard locale?
- Select an original locale from the first pull-down menu.
- Choose the Standard locale option.
- Select a locale from the Standard locale pull-down menu.
- Click Duplicate. You will be directed to a new page.
- Click Click here to download to download the duplicate in XML format, or click upload it here to edit the duplicate's XML.
Can I duplicate a locale into a non standard locale?
- Select an original locale from the first pull-down menu.
- Choose the Non standard locale option.
- Enter an
i_ tag and display name in the appropriate boxes.
-
Note: An i_ tag is a standard way to create, identify, and work with a non standard locale by prefixing the code with the letter "i" followed by an underscore.
- Select the fallback locale, number formatting, and character orientation from the appropriate pull-down menus.
-
Note: When an i_ tag's lexicon does not have a phrase, it looks it up in the "fallback" locale.
- Click Duplicate. You will be directed to a new page.
- Click Click here to download to download the duplicate in XML format, or click upload it here to edit the duplicate's XML.
Note: If you find that a locale is missing, click
rebuild the locale databases at the bottom of the screen to update the system.
