Database Map Tool

This tool allows server administrators to grant ownership of databases and database users to a cPanel user. Once a cPanel user owns a database, he or she is able to access and manage the database from the cPanel interface.

Note: This tool only grants access to databases and database users that are already in the database management system.

To provide a user with access to an existing database:

1. From the Account Selection menu, select the domain or username of the cPanel user who will own databases and database users you specify.
   • You can also use the Account Search fields to search the list by domain or username.
2. Click Select.
3. From the Update Database Map screen, select the database type by clicking the appropriate radio button.
4. In the Database users box, type the names of the database users the cPanel user will own, separated by commas.
5. In the Database names box, type the names of the databases the cPanel user will own, separated by commas.
6. Click Submit.
