To access
all of the options listed below, you will need to click the
Select Options Manually checkbox under the
Package heading.

Description |
| Dedicated IP |
Assigns the new account a static, unchanging IP address that will not be shared with other accounts unless the user specifies an account for which the IP should be shared. This option is ideal for resellers. After clicking the Dedicated IP checkbox, select the IP from the Select the IP Address pull-down menu, or select Auto-Assign to allow the system to assign an IP automatically.This list is populated by unreserved IP addresses. You can read more about reserving IP addresses.
Note: If you create a package with this option enabled, you will not be able to change this option later. |
| Shell Access |
Allows the user access to the server through the command line interface. |
| FrontPage Extensions |
Allows the user to install FrontPage® extensions to the new account. |
| CGI Access |
Allows the new account to execute CGI scripts. |
| Digest Authentication for Web Disk |
Enables Digest Authentication support for Web Desk access over a clear text or unencrypted connection. This support is required for users with Windows Vista®, Windows® 7, and Windows® 8 operating systems. Note: This is only required if your server does not have an SSL certificate signed by a recognized certificate authority. |
| cPanel Theme |
The theme for the user's cPanel account. Note: You should choose x3 for accounts that will host websites, as this is the most current theme.If you intend to make this account a mail server only, you should select x3mail, as this is the most current theme for mail servers. |
| Locale |
Select the new account's language using the Locale pull-down menu. |
Saving the selected options as a new package
If you wish to save the options you have selected as a new package:
- Click the Save manual settings as a Package checkbox under the Package heading.
- Enter a name for the new package in the Package Name field.
- Select a feature list from the Feature List pull-down menu.

Remember: Feature lists define which cPanel features the new account's owner is able to access. To edit or create a feature list, you will need to use the WHM Feature Manager.
