The traceroute utility is a network tool that determines the route taken when information packets are sent across the Internet. This tool helps to initially pinpoint possible weaknesses for mounting attacks. Likewise, this tool can also be used to troubleshoot problems with the network.

note Note: Traceroute is not related to the Email Trace feature in cPanel. Traceroute is a command line utility. More information regarding traceroute is available.

Enable or disable traceroute

To enable Traceroute, click Enable.

To disable Traceroute, click Disable.

note Note: Traceroute is disabled by default.
