Locale XML Upload

For WHM version 11.32

This feature allows you to upload an existing locale (language) in XML format. Once you have uploaded a locale, your users will be able to select it from within the cPanel interface.

Uploading an XML File

To upload an existing locale:

  1. Click the Browse... button.
  2. Select the XML file you wish to upload.
  3. Click the Upload button to complete the process.

note Note: If you wish to upload a legacy cPanel language file, click the this interface link.

Legacy Language File Upload

You can use this interface to upload your own language file, or a third-party language file.

To upload a language file:

  1. Click the this interface link at the bottom of the page.
  2. Click Choose File and select the file you would like to upload from your computer’s hard drive.
  3. Select the type of file you are uploading using the Theme pull-down menu.
    • / uploads the root language file, which supplies wording for the cPanel interface when a needed term in the interface is missing from the primary language files.
    • x uploads a new language file for the x theme of cPanel.
    • x2 uploads a new x2 theme language file.
      • note Note: The x and x2 themes are deprecated and should not be used unless absolutely necessary.
    • x3 uploads a new x3 theme language file.
    • x3mail uploads the cPanel mail interface’s language file.
    • xmail uploads an older version of the cPanel mail interface’s language file.
      • note Note: The xmail theme is deprecated and should not be used unless absolutely necessary.
    • If you have a custom cPanel theme, you can select it here to upload its language file.
      • Language files for custom themes will reside on your server in the directory usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/$themename/lang/.
        • $themename should be replaced by the name of the custom theme.
  4. Click Upload.
