Networking Setup

This section of the WHM interface can be used to configure your server for use on the Internet.

• Change Hostname — This feature allows you to change your server's hostname.
• Nameserver IPs — This feature allows you to add and remove nameserver IP addresses on your server. This is useful if you need to modify the nameserver configuration you already set up using the Basic cPanel & WHM Setup screen. This feature was moved to the DNS Functions section of the WHM interface. When you click the link, you will be redirected to its new location.
• Resolver Configuration — This feature allows you access to a configuration wizard for editing the /etc/resolv.conf file. This file will contain the names of the nameservers that your server will query in order to convert, or “resolve,” domain names into IP addresses.
