Quota Modification

For WHM version 11.32

This feature allows you to change an account’s quota. The quota is the maximum amount of disk space an account can use on your server.

When assigning or selling quotas, it is important to consider what the end user will need. For example, a site that hosts videos will need more disk space than a site that is hosting a simple blog.

To assign a new quota:

  1. Select the desired account from the list.
    • You may use the Account Search feature to search for an account by domain or by user.
  2. Click one of the options at the bottom of the screen:
    • To change a single quota, click Modify.
    • To view all of your users’ quotas, click Show all Accounts. From the list, you can change multiple quotas at once.
      • To view only the accounts that belong to a specific reseller, click Show Only this Reseller’s Accounts.
  3. Define the new quota(s) in the available text field(s).
    • The quota is defined in Megabytes.
  4. Click Change.

note Note: If all of your accounts’ quotas are incorrectly listed as 0, you may need to rebuild your system’s quota files. Either click the click here link on the screen or, if no link is displayed, use WHM’s Initial Quota Scan feature.
