Restore Backups

For WHM version 11.32

(Main >> Backup >> Restore Backups)

This feature allows you to choose a recent backup for restoring configurations and accounts. Remember, this feature will not work unless you have enabled account backups on the Configure Backup page.

This feature restores accounts that already have backup files on the server.

note Note:

  • To restore an account that exists on another server, you may first use the features available in the WHM Transfers section to save the account’s backup file. Then, you can restore the account using this feature.
  • You must have the Incremental Backup feature enabled on the Configure Backup screen in order to restore incremental backups.

To restore backups:

  1. Choose whether you would like to use the most recent monthly, weekly, or daily backup.
  2. Select an account you would like to restore by clicking on it.
  3. Use the checkboxes below to configure the restoration.
    • Only recreate accounts if necessary.
    • The Give IP Address option will assign the account a new IP address from the IP address pool.
    • note Note: If the account that you are restoring holds subdomains, make sure to restore their entries by clicking the appropriate checkbox.
  4. Click Start Restore.
