Schedule Configuration
For WHM version 11.38
Set the log and bandwidth processing frequency
You can use the features in this information box to determine how often WHM will process the statistics on your server.
If you wish to redefine how often WHM will
process logs for your server, enter the appropriate number of hours in the
Log Processing Frequency text box and click
Change.
If you wish to redefine how often WHM will
process bandwidth statistics for your server, enter the appropriate number of hours in the
Bandwidth Processing Frequency text box and click
Change.
Note: You must set the intervals in increments of 0.25 (which represents 15 minutes). For example, you could enter:
- 4 — for every 4 hours
- 4.25 — for every 4 hours, 15 minutes
- 4.5 — for every 4 hours, half hour
- 4.75 — for every 4 hours, 45 minutes
To define a more precise schedule, click the
Configure Statistic Process Time Schedule button under the
Statistics Schedule heading.
Statistics Processing Times
You are free to define a more precise schedule by clicking
Configure Statistic Process Time Schedule under
Statistics Schedule. Here, as seen in the screenshot below, you are able to use checkboxes to select hours that log analysis will
not be performed. Remember to click
Save to store the changes to the server. You should make sure to only process statistics during off-peak hours, when your server is less busy processing requests.
Note: If your server is very busy, logs may take longer than an hour to be fully analyzed. Make sure you allow sufficient time for log analysis by leaving an adequate number of hours unchecked.
Note: The times selected in the
Statistics Processing Times table only affect the statistics programs (
Analog,
AWStats,
Webalizer and
Logaholic). This schedule does not control the internal processing of
bandwidth statistics performed by
cpanellogd, which is necessary for
bandwidth reports in cPanel & WHM.
cpanellogd may still process during blackout hours, using minimal resources. The frequency of
cpanellogd processing is also controlled through the Bandwidth Processing Frequency section.
Additional Options
You are also free to prevent backups and log processing from running simultaneously. Because both backups and log processing are resource-intensive tasks, preventing them from occurring simultaneously will aid in maintaining fast cPanel and website load times. Simply click the available checkbox under
Additional Options, then click
Save.
