This feature updates software dependencies, installed by the operating system, that cPanel & WHM requires to run.

Usually, software packages are included with the automatic update that is configured through the Update Preferences interface and specified in your crontab file (/etc/crontab). However, if you have disabled automatic updates in the Update Preferences interface, you may need to run the update manually using this feature.

This feature's corresponding command line script is /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/sysup.

This feature is convenient due to the fact that services are checked before the update commences. This prevents you from updating unnecessarily.

To begin the update:

• Click Proceed.

Note: This is not the same as running /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/upcp or updating cPanel & WHM via the Upgrade to the Latest Version feature.
