Garbled Language and Territory Names
At times, the language and territory names shown in menus and "Your current language is: English"-type displays may appear garbled.
This data is taken directly from the
Unicode Common Locale Data Repository (CLDR). As such, it is not a problem within cPanel. In fact, you may be able to fix the problem simply by obtaining and installing the correct font. For more information, please visit
the Unicode site.
Also, keep in mind that apparent errors in menus — such as lowercase language names and parenthetical English names shown to the left rather than the right of the name in its own language — are most likely correct for the language in question. Although they may look incorrect to English speakers, they are probably
not errors in the CLDR.
If you are certain that you have located an error in a language or territory name, you should file a
bug report with the CLDR.
