Overview

This feature allows you to upload an existing locale in XML format. After you upload a locale, your users can select it from within the cPanel interface.

Uploading an XML File

To upload an existing locale, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Browse...
  2. Select the XML file that you wish to upload.
  3. Click Upload to complete the process.

Note:

If you wish to upload a legacy cPanel language file, click this interface.

Legacy Language File Upload

This interface allows you to upload your own language file, or a third-party language file.

To upload a language file, perform the following steps:

  1. Click this interface.
  2. Click Choose File and select the file that you wish to upload.
  3. Select the type of file you wish to upload from the Theme menu.

    Uploads the root language file, which supplies wording for the cPanel interface when a needed term is not present in the primary language files.

    x3Uploads a new x3 theme language file.
    x3mailUploads the cPanel mail interface’s language file.
    paper_lanternUploads the Paper Lantern theme's language files.

     

    • If you have a custom cPanel theme, select it here to upload its language file.
      • Language files for custom themes reside in the usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/$themename/lang/ directory.

        Note:

        Replace $themename with the name of the custom theme.

  4. Click Upload.
