For cPanel & WHM 11.48

(Home >> IP Functions >> Change a Site's IP Address)

Note:

This is the same interface as WHM's Change Site's IP Address interface (Home >> IP Functions>> Change Site's IP Address).

Overview

This interface allows you to select an account and change its IP address. You should do this, for example, if you want to grant each reseller a unique IP address or if you wish to host SSL sites.

IP address

To change a site’s IP address, perform the following steps:

  1. Select an account or user from the menu under Account Selection.

    Note:

You may also use the Account Search By feature to search for an account by domain or by user.

  2. Click Change.
  3. Select the new IP address from the New Address menu.
  4. Click Change.

Notes about IP addresses

  • In order to change one of your domains’ IP addresses, you must first obtain the IP address from your data center and add it to the address pool.
  • If you run a data center, you must obtain your IP addresses from your geographic region's Regional Internet Registry.
  • After you obtain IP addresses, add them to the IP address pool with WHM's Add a New IP Address interface (Home >> IP Functions >> Add a New IP Address).
