This document describes functionality from cPanel's deprecated x3 theme. We strongly recommend that you use cPanel's current theme (Paper Lantern) instead.

  • We removed the deprecated x3 theme from new installations in cPanel & WHM version 60.
    • Make certain that you read the appropriate documentation for your version of cPanel & WHM.
    • For more information, read our What's My Version Number documentation.
  • cPanel's Paper Lantern theme does not include certain x3 theme-specific features.
    • For a complete list of Paper Lantern features, read our cPanel Features List documentation.
    • If you need a feature that the Paper Lantern theme does not include, submit a feature request.

This documentation describes the features of the cPanel interface.

  • Preferences - x3 — These documents describe the features in the Preferences section. This section includes a setup wizard and general cPanel settings.
  • Mail - x3 — These documents describe the features in the Mail section. This section includes all of cPanel's email-related features.
  • Files - x3 — These documents describe the features in the Files section. This section includes cPanel's backup system, file managers, HTML editor, FTP configuration, and Web Disk configuration.
  • Logs - x3 — These documents describe the features in the Logs section. This section includes error logs, information about bandwidth usage, and statistical analysis software.
  • Security - x3 — These documents describe the features in the Security section. This section includes shell access, leech protection, hot link protection, and other security-related features.
  • Domains - x3 — These documents describe the features in the Domains section. This section includes features that allow you to manage subdomains, addon domains, parked domains, and redirects.
