(WHM >> Home >> Backup >> Configuration File Rollback)

Overview

This feature allows you to restore a configuration file for Apache, Pure-FTP or ProFTP, and the nameserver (named or  nsd ) daemons. This is useful when the current configuration for any of these daemons does not work.

Configuration files

The following table lists the configuration files that you can roll back:

File locationDescriptionType of server daemon
/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.confApacheweb server
/etc/named.confnamedDNS server
/etc/nsd.confNSDDNS server
/etc/pure-ftp.confPure-FTPFTP server
/etc/proftp.confProFTPFTP server

Note:

The interface only displays buttons for the configuration files of your server's installed daemons.

Restore configuration files

To restore the configuration files, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the button that corresponds to the configuration file that you wish to restore. The interface will display the desired server daemon's configuration file.

    Note:

You cannot edit the file from the interface.

  2. Use the < and > buttons to select the desired backup file.
    • The interface displays the file's version number, date, and time between the navigation buttons.
  3. Click Restore.
