Overview

The Calendar and Contacts Server (CCS) plugin allows your cPanel users to manage their CalDAV (calendar) and CardDAV (contacts) accounts from your cPanel & WHM server.

When you install this plugin, CCS becomes the main calendar and contacts tool. Your server keeps the information available in Horde. However, cPanel account and Webmail users will no longer be able to connect to the Horde calendar or address book.

Warning:
  • This plugin is compatible with the CentOS 7 and 8, CloudLinux™ 7 and 8, AlmaLinux OS 8, and Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 7 operating systems.
  • This plugin is not compatible with the CentOS 6, CloudLinux 6, Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 6, or Amazon Linux operating systems.
  • This plugin requires PostgreSQL®. If you remove PostgreSQL, you will also remove CCS.
  • This plugin does not support Horde’s shared address book.

Install the plugin

To install the CCS plugin, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to WHM’s Manage Plugins interface (WHM >> Home >> cPanel >> Manage Plugins).
  2. Click Install “Calendar and Contacts Server”. A success message will appear when the installation process completes.

Your cPanel users can now connect CCS to Roundcube, Horde, or other applications. For more information, read our How to Set Up Calendars and Contacts and Calendar Delegation documentation. Enter port 2079 or 2080 when you set up the server name and port.

Important:

After installing CCS, the server will import data from Horde in to the plugin. However, any data or events created through Roundcube will not be visible. When you remove the CCS plugin, Roundcube data will be visible again.

Note:

As a system administrator, you can directly access CCS data through ports 2079 and 2080. You can also manage CCS data through Horde, Roundcube, or other applications.

Uninstall the plugin

To uninstall the CCS plugin, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to WHM’s Manage Plugins interface (WHM >> Home >> cPanel >> Manage Plugins).
  2. Click Uninstall “Calendar and Contacts Server”. A success message will appear when the uninstallation process completes.
Warning:

The system erases all CCS data when you uninstall the CCS plugin.
