How to Cancel a cPanel License

Overview

This document describes how to cancel a cPanel license in the cPanel Store.

Cancellation timeline

Important:

You can cancel a licence within 72 hours of purchase for a full refund. After 72 or more hours, license purchases are not eligible for a refund.

You must cancel your license and submit a request to cPanel Customer Service within 72 hours of purchase to request a refund.

When you cancel a cPanel license within 72 hours of initial purchase, the following applies:

  • Cancellation occurs immediately.
  • The license is eligible for a refund. For more information, read the Refund eligibility section below.

When you cancel a cPanel license 72 or more hours after purchase, the following applies:

  • The license remains active until the end of the month.
  • The license is not eligible for a refund.

How to cancel a cPanel license

Note:

Before cancelling a cPanel license, you must log in to your cPanel Store account.

To cancel a cPanel license in the cPanel Store, perform the following steps:

  1. Select View My Licenses in the Orders/Licenses menu.
  2. Locate the desired active license in the table.
  3. Under Status, click Active next to the license that you wish to cancel. A new interface will appear.
  4. Click Request Cancellation. The Cancel License interface will appear.
  5. Select the license that you wish to cancel.
  6. Answer the survey questions and then click Submit Cancellation Request.
  7. The system will submit your cancellation reequest.
Important:

When you cancel a license, the associated IP address cannot use prorated pricing for 30 days. For more information about this limitation, send an email to cPanel Customer Service.

Refund eligibility

New licenses are eligible for a full refund within 72 hours of purchase. Licenses canceled after that time are not eligible for a refund.

To request a refund, submit a request to cPanel Customer Service within 72 hours of purchase.

Refunds usually take 5 to 10 business days to process.
