Improved email account creation
The AI Assistant no longer refuses to create an email account because it added an optional setting that you did not ask for, such as a welcome message. When the assistant does not use a setting that you did not request, it tells you. It no longer asks again for an address that you already gave.
Fixed answers about disk usage
When you ask how much disk space your account uses, the AI Assistant now reports the disk usage of the account. Before this change, it reported the size of your main mailbox.
Fixed domain summaries
A domain summary no longer shows raw JSON when it reports which domains are temporary.
Answer ratings
When you rate an answer, the AI Assistant now sends the rating to the service that produced the answer. The teams that review answer quality can then see which answers readers marked as not helpful. The assistant sends ratings only from accounts where usage analytics is on.
API changes
The specification for the AI Assistant reveal_credential API now declares its OpenAPI version. Tools that read the cPanel API specifications can now load it.

Improved support for non-English characters
A question asked in Spanish, French, Romanian or any other language written with accented characters now reaches the AI Assistant exactly as you typed it, rather than as a corrupted copy, and the length limit on a question counts characters rather than bytes.
Feature names and descriptions containing an accent, a trademark sign or any other non-English character are no longer garbled in the assistant’s activity cards. On servers with a binary cPanel install, an action whose details contain an accented character no longer fails with an internal serialization error, and an approval whose identifier contains a non-English character is no longer refused as though it had been tampered with.
Improved password handling for new accounts
When the AI Assistant creates an account that needs a password, the server now generates a strong one instead of the assistant inventing it, and shows it to you once. The password is no longer part of the conversation data: the copy button fetches it when you click, and the server discards it as soon as it is read.
New email accounts are also reported by the address you asked for, rather than by cPanel’s internal “user+domain” form.
Improved answers about email accounts
The AI Assistant recommends email addresses when you ask which accounts to create, instead of repeatedly asking for an address it was never given. It also recommends common addresses when you ask for suggestions for your business at the start of a conversation, rather than only after email has already been mentioned.
When answering a how-to question about creating an email account, the assistant no longer drops the password step or leaves an empty numbered item in its place.
Improved approval cards
An approval card that you declined or left unanswered is now closed on the server before your next question, so the assistant no longer proposes that change again alongside the next, unrelated request. A card you declined can no longer be approved afterwards.
Improved messages and errors
The AI Assistant’s messages read in the active voice and no longer say “please”, and its error messages name what could not be done instead of describing it as something that happened to you.
The assistant now tells you when your server is not authorized to use it, instead of reporting an authorization refusal as a temporary outage and asking you to try again. An error the server was already handling elsewhere is no longer overwritten when the assistant runs one of its own guarded operations.
API changes
The AIAssistant::ask UAPI function has been removed. The AI Assistant hub streams every conversation over its SSE endpoint and no longer calls it. The assistant also no longer offers its own API functions as actions it can run during a conversation.
The new AIAssistant::event_schema UAPI function returns the analytics event dictionary the server installed.
The AI Assistant’s API documentation now identifies each operation by its module and function name, matching the convention the rest of cPanel’s API reference uses. The published API specs previously reported the wrong first cPanel version for every AIAssistant UAPI call.
Analytics changes
Analytics now switch off, rather than emit unvalidated events, when the installed event dictionary is missing an event the assistant emits or carries a malformed property definition. An event dictionary pattern that will not compile is named in the log instead of being reported as an emitter fault, and the assistant and the theme now judge a dictionary’s null patterns and required flags the same way.
The installed version stamp is refreshed on upgrade, so analytics events report the build the server is actually running.

Improved approval cards
The AI Assistant now carries out a multi-step request as one ordered plan on a single approval card, not one card per step. When you ask the assistant to change something, it proposes the change rather than making it.
The assistant no longer shows an approval card for questions that do not change anything, such as a question that begins with “how do I”. It also no longer shows an approval card when it declines a request that falls outside the topics it covers.
Extended how long an approval card stays valid
You can now approve a change up to 24 hours after the assistant proposes it. The assistant previously refused the change if more than five minutes passed between the card appearing and you approving it.
Improved conversations
The AI Assistant now understands short follow-up questions in the context of the conversation. A conversation that opens by asking for recommendations keeps its history, and the assistant keeps an answer that ended by offering to make a change.
Security fix
The assistant no longer leaves part of a password visible in an error message when two of a request’s secret values overlap.

Added the AI Assistant to the Meridian theme
We introduced the cPanel AI Assistant, an embedded chat panel in the Meridian interface. It lets users ask questions about their account in plain language and get answers without leaving the interface. Users open it from the floating Ask AI button in the bottom-right corner.
The assistant is context-aware: it recognizes the interface the user is on and any selected domain, and it offers suggested prompts relevant to the current hub. It can explain a feature or concept and guide users through a task step by step. It can also diagnose issues by reading read-only account details such as domains, disk quota, email accounts, FTP accounts, databases, SSL certificate status, and the AutoSSL error log.
When the hosting provider enables it, the assistant can also complete simple changes, such as creating an email account, but only after the cPanel user approves the change. The assistant is opt-in during early access, and hosting providers enable it for their users.
