Looking for this interface?
Your hosting provider can enable or disable this interface in WHM's Feature Manager interface (WHM >> Home >> Packages >> Feature Manager).
Overview
The unified SSL/TLS Certificates interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS Certificates) consolidates SSL/TLS management into a single, tabbed view. It includes the tools and information from the following interfaces:
- SSL/TLS interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS)
- SSL/TLS Status interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS Status)
- SSL/TLS Wizard interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS Wizard)
Enable the SSL/TLS Certificates interface
The unified SSL/TLS Certificates interface is active by default on most cPanel & WHM installations. To explicitly enable or disable the unified SSL/TLS Certificates interface:
- Edit the
/var/cpanel/panel.inifile. - Under the
[ssl]section, set the value of theunified_interfacekey:true— Enables the unified SSL/TLS Certificates interface.false— Disables the unified SSL/TLS Certificates interface.
This interface requires the SSL Host Installer feature from WHM’s Feature Manager interface (WHM » Home » Packages » Feature Manager). If this feature is disabled, the unified SSL/TLS Certificates interface is unavailable, regardless of other system settings.
The Wizard tab
The Wizard tab allows you to purchase and install SSL certificates for domains on your account. It also lists purchased certificates that a certificate provider has not yet delivered.
This tab’s contents are identical to the SSL/TLS Wizard interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS Wizard).
If the unified interface is active, the Wizard tab is always visible, regardless of cPanel Store settings. Your hosting provider can enable the following features in the Wizard tab:
- Purchasable items — Your hosting provider must enable the SSL Host Installer, cPanel Market (with at least one product), and SSL/TLS Wizard features in WHM’s Feature Manager interface (WHM » Home » Packages » Feature Manager).
- Let’s Encrypt™ button — Requires SSL Host Installer and AutoSSL from WHM’s Feature Manager interface and Let’s Encrypt as your AutoSSL provider.
For more information, read the SSL/TLS Wizard documentation.
If the unified interface is active and SSL Host Installer is the only active SSL feature, the system displays a message indicating that there are no SSL/TLS products available.
The Status tab
The Status tab displays the status and details for each of your domains’ SSL certificates.
This tab’s contents are identical to the SSL/TLS Status interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS Status).
For more information, read the SSL/TLS Status documentation.
The Status tab hides all AutoSSL actions. The system can display AutoSSL actions in the standalone SSL/TLS Status interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS Status). To do this, your hosting provider must enable SSL Host Installer and AutoSSL from WHM’s Feature Manager interface and select Let’s Encrypt as your AutoSSL provider.
The Certificates tab
The Certificates tab lets you generate, view, upload, or delete SSL certificates for your sites.
This tab’s contents are identical to the Certificates (CRT) section of the SSL/TLS interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS).
For more information, read the Certificates (CRT) documentation.
The Keys tab
The Keys tab lets you generate, view, upload, or delete private keys for SSL certificates.
This tab’s contents are identical to the Private Keys (KEY) section of the SSL/TLS interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS).
For more information, read the Private Keys (KEY) documentation.
The Requests tab
The Requests tab lets you generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests (CSRs).
This tab’s contents are identical to the Certificate Signing Requests (CSR) section of the SSL/TLS interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS).
For more information, read the Certificate Signing Requests (CSR) documentation.
The Installation tab
The Installation tab lets you install and manage SSL certificates for your sites.
This tab’s contents are identical to the Install and Manage SSL for your site (HTTPS) section of the SSL/TLS interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS).
For more information, read the Install and Manage SSL for your site (HTTPS) documentation.
The Settings tab
The Settings tab lets you choose the default SSL/TLS key type for certificates and signing requests.
This tab’s contents are identical to the Default SSL/TLS Key Type section of the SSL/TLS interface (cPanel » Home » Security » SSL/TLS).
For more information, read the Default SSL/TLS Key Type documentation.
