Nova Release Notes

Last modified: 2026 September 24

Nova version 3.7.3-1

Released September 2026

Published the Nova API documentation

The 11 Nova API functions that were already live are now documented in the cPanel API reference, with descriptions and examples that follow the cPanel & WHM documentation style guide. Version 3.7.3-1 applies the documentation team’s review feedback to the Nova-disk_quota_check and Nova-ensure_account specifications. There are no functional changes in versions 3.7.2-1 and 3.7.3-1.

Nova version 3.7.1-1

Released September 2026

Restored the Meridian features in Feature Manager

Some servers had the Nova Experience installed before Meridian became available. On those servers, the Nova (Meridian) and Nova for WordPress (Meridian) features did not appear in WHM’s Feature Manager. The install method of the plugin lifecycle now registers both features and turns them on by default. Before this version, only the upgrade method did this.

Nova version 3.7.0-1

Released September 2026

Recognized a site sent to the builder before it is published

A domain that you send to the AI App Builder is now recognized as soon as the builder opens it, rather than only once a website is published. The get_all_user_nova_info API call reports this through a new has_nova_session field, and records when the builder session began. The existing has_nova_website field keeps its meaning, so anything that reads the older response behaves exactly as before. Both new values are documented in the get_all_user_nova_info OpenAPI specification.

Nova version 3.6.1-1

Released September 2026

Restored the default setting for the Nova Experience feature

On servers where the original installation could not record it, the Nova Experience feature is disabled by default again. New accounts on the default feature list receive the standard cPanel interface unless you grant them the Nova Experience.

If you set your server up before this version and had removed that default-list setting in order to grant the Nova Experience server-wide, this upgrade restores the setting once. You can remove it again.

Nova version 3.6.0-1

Released September 2026

Removed the reseller-account restriction

Nova now works on servers that have reseller accounts. WHM prevents resellers from creating or editing hosting packages that use the Nova Package Extension.

Nova version 3.5.0-1

Released September 2026

Set up AI App Builder accounts automatically

The system now sets up an AI App Builder account when you create a cPanel account on, or switch one to, a hosting package that includes AI App Builder, at every tier. The app is ready the first time the user opens it, rather than being set up on their first visit.

Required an AI App Builder package to create or access an account

Creating an AI App Builder account, or signing in to one, now requires a hosting package that includes AI App Builder. Users on other packages see a clear denial message. Accounts that have the Nova Experience feature, viewing existing account information, and publishing websites are unaffected. In team sessions, this access follows the cPanel account itself rather than a team member’s role.

Nova version 3.4.0-1

Released September 2026

Carried the website-building goal into the builder

The website-building goal that you provide before you sign in now reaches the AI App Builder card. The system discards the goal once it delivers it.

Nova version 3.3.3-0

Released September 2026

Hardened publication requests

We hardened the request-integrity signature for AI App Builder publication requests.

Send the account’s AI App Builder tier

The system now sends your account’s AI App Builder tier when it creates an account and when it generates a login link, so your tier is correct from the start.
