Overview
The Calendars and Contacts Management interface allows you to display, create, delete, and rename calendars, address books, and task lists.
This feature also appears in the Webmail interface.
The Calendars and Contacts Management table
The Calendars and Contacts Management table displays the following columns:
- Name — The name of the calendar, address book, or task list.
- Type — The type of the calendar, address book, or task list.
- Description — A description of the calendar, address book, or task list.
- Actions — The available actions to perform on the calendar, address book, or task list.
The Collection Editor interface
Use the Collection Editor interface to create, delete, or rename calendars, address books, and task lists. In this interface, a collection is a set of events in a calendar, contacts in an address book, or tasks in a task list.
Create a collection
To create a new collection, perform the following actions:
- In the Calendars and Contacts Management interface, click Create. The Collection Editor interface appears.
- In the Collection Type menu, select Calendar for a calendar, Address book for an address book, or Task List for a task list.
- In the Collection Name text box, enter a name for the calendar, address book, or task list.
- If you selected Calendar, the Color button appears.
- Select the Color button. A color palette appears.
- Select the color for the calendar.
- Enter an optional description in the Description text box.
- Click Submit. The Calendars and Contacts Management table appears, along with a success message. The new calendar, address book, or task list appears in the table.
Delete a collection
To delete an existing collection, perform the following actions:
- In the Calendars and Contacts Management table, find the calendar, address book, or task list you want to delete.
- Click the trash can icon (
) in the Actions column.
- A confirmation window appears. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
- The Calendars and Contacts Management table appears, along with a success message. The deleted calendar, address book, or task list no longer appears in the table.
When you create an email account, the system creates the default calendar and address book. You cannot delete the default calendar or address book.
Edit a collection
To edit an existing collection, perform the following actions:
- In the Calendars and Contacts Management table, find the calendar, address book, or task list you want to edit.
- Click the pencil icon (
) in the Actions column. The Collection Editor interface appears.
- Perform one or more of the following actions:
- Enter a new name for the calendar, address book, or task list.
- Select a new color for the calendar.
- Enter a new description for the calendar, address book, or task list.
- Click Submit to submit the changes.
- The Calendars and Contacts Management table appears, along with a success message. The updated calendar, address book, or task list appears in the table.
