Redirecting a Domain

Overview

A redirect sends visitors from one domain to another. In the Meridian theme, you manage redirects from the Settings tab in the Websites hub.

To open the redirect settings, go to the Websites hub, click Manage, and select the Settings tab.

When to use a redirect

Use a redirect when you have changed your content’s location but you want old links to keep working.

For example, you can forward a retired domain to a new site. Point the old domain at the new site so that existing links, bookmarks, and search rankings continue to work at the new location.

Managing redirects

To add a redirect, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Add Redirect.
  2. Enter the domain to redirect to.
  3. Click Save.

To remove a redirect, click Delete.
