How to Enable the Meridian Theme

Last modified: 2026 July 24

Overview

This document describes how to enable the cPanel Meridian theme for your customers. Meridian is cPanel’s goal-based theme. Instead of organizing tools by category like Jupiter does, Meridian groups features into six purpose-built hubs based on your cPanel user goals.

Set Meridian as the default theme for new cPanel accounts

To set Meridian as the default theme for new cPanel accounts, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to WHM.
  2. Navigate to WHM’s Edit a Package interface (WHM » Home » Packages » Edit a Package).
  3. Select the default package and click Edit.
  4. In the cPanel Theme menu, select Meridian.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Control whether cPanel account users can switch their theme

The Theme Switching feature in WHM’s Feature Manager interface (WHM » Home » Packages » Feature Manager) allows you to control whether a user can switch their theme. You can control theme switching for all cPanel accounts or for accounts that use specific package.

Control whether cPanel account users can switch back to the Jupiter theme

The Switch Back to Jupiter feature in WHM’s Feature Manager interface (WHM » Home » Packages » Feature Manager) allows you to control whether a user can switch back to the Jupiter theme. If you enabled this feature, when a cPanel account user switches to Meridian, they cannot switch back to Jupiter.
