Groups

Overview

This Groups interface allows you to add, edit, delete, and search for groups. The interface defaults to showing 100 groups at a time. Use the menu below to change the number of groups shown.

List of groups

This interface lists your groups and displays the following parameters for each group:

  • ID — The group’s ID number.
  • Group — The group’s name.
    Note:
    If this group is the Main Group, Main appears next to the Group Name.
  • Licenses — How many licenses are associated with a group.
  • Address — First line of the group’s address.
  • City — Group’s city.
  • Postal Code — Group’s postal code.
  • Region — Group’s state or province.
  • Country — Group’s country.
  • Created — Timestamp of the date group was created.

Add a group

To add a group, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Add Group text box.
  2. Enter a name and address for the group.
  3. At the bottom of the interface, select the Set as Main Group checkbox to make this group the main license group.
    Note:
    This step may not be available to all companies.
  4. Click Save to save your new group. Click Close to discard your group.

Export CSV

To export CSV, click Export CSV in the navigation bar. This downloads a file.

Toggle Columns

To change parameters that create the list of groups, click Toggle Columns, and select or deselect the desired parameters.

Search Groups

To search for a group, enter the group’s name in the text box on the right side of the interface.

Managing groups and licenses

View Licenses

To view all group licenses, click the arrow in an entry’s row and click View Licenses.

Transfer Licenses

To transfer licenses between groups, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the arrow in a group’s row and click View Licenses.
    Note:
    Your account must contain at least two groups to allow a license transfer.
  2. Select the group from the menu.
  3. Click Transfer to save changes. Click Close to discard changes.

Edit a group

To edit a group, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the arrow in a group’s row and click Edit Group.
  2. In the Name text box, enter the new license group name.
  3. Edit any of the address boxes as needed.
  4. Select or deselect the Set as Main Group option.
  5. Click Save to save your changes. Click Close to discard your changes.

Deleting a group

To delete a group, perform the following steps:

  1. At the end of each row, there is an icon to the right of the Created column. Click the arrow.
  2. Click Delete Group.
  3. Choose another license group to transfer the licenses associated with the group you wish to delete.
    Note:
    Your account must contain at least two groups to allow a license transfer.
  4. Click Transfer to save your changes and delete the group. Click Close to discard your changes.
