Overview

Meridian is cPanel’s goal-based theme. Instead of organizing tools by category like Jupiter does, Meridian groups features into six purpose-built hubs based on your goals. When you log in to Meridian, the interface also displays any required actions for your account and suggests actions you might like to take, like creating a backup or adding a website.

Goal-based navigation

Meridian organizes your experience around six navigation hubs, each built around a specific goal, such as managing your websites or securing your account. Instead of searching through menus, you go straight to the hub that matches what you’re trying to do.

The six hubs are:

• Websites () — Manage your domains, SSL certificates, DNS, backups, and website builder in one place.
• Email () — Create and manage email accounts, forwarders, and filters.
• Files () — Manage files, folders, and FTP access for your account.
• Databases () — Create and manage MySQL® and MariaDB® databases and database users.
• Security () — Configure SSL certificates, IP blocking, and other account protections.
• Performance () — Monitor resource usage and site performance.

Goal-based navigation means fewer clicks to accomplish common workflows and a clearer path from intent to action.

Who Meridian is for

Consider Meridian if you:

• Are new to cPanel and want guided help getting started.
• Prefer finding tools by what you’re trying to accomplish, rather than browsing a menu of features.

The Meridian Dashboard

The Dashboard highlights relevant information rather than displaying a static home page.

The Dashboard may include:

• Action Required — Items that need your attention, such as expiring certificates or unresolved warnings.
• Suggested next actions — Contextual recommendations based on your account activity.
• Account overview — A summary of key account details and resource usage.

Command Palette

The Command Palette lets you jump to any feature or workflow by typing its name, no matter where you are in Meridian.

To open the Command Palette, use one of these options:

• Click in the Search textbox.
• Press Cmd+K (macOS) or Ctrl+K (Windows and Linux).
• Type / from anywhere in the interface.

Once open, start typing the name of a feature, setting, or task. The Command Palette returns matching results as you type. Select a result to navigate directly to it.

The Command Palette removes the need to return to the home page or navigate through hubs to reach a specific tool.

Guided Setup

The Guided Setup feature walks you through configuring your domain, website, and email in a single flow. You choose how to build your site using the Sitejet Builder drag-and-drop editor, WordPress®, the Node.js™ option for deploying from a Git™ repository or ZIP file, or you can upload your own files. After you select a builder, the setup reviews your selections before finalizing.

You can run the Guided Setup at any time by selecting Run Setup Again from the Dashboard.

Switching between Meridian and Jupiter

If your hosting provider allows it, you can switch between the Meridian and Jupiter interfaces at any time. Switching back to Jupiter is fully reversible. Select Switch back to Jupiter in the navigation bar or from the Account Preferences interface.
