Changed theme switch-back rules

cPanel accounts that you create on Meridian, and that have never had Jupiter access, can no longer switch back to Jupiter themselves. We removed the Switch Back to Jupiter option from WHM’s Feature Manager interface (WHM » Home » Packages » Feature Manager). An administrator can still change such an account’s theme directly, such as through WHM’s Modify an Account interface, a package change, or the API. Doing so permanently allows the account to use the standard Theme Switching-gated switch-back going forward.

cPanel accounts that started on Jupiter, or were ever moved to Jupiter, can still switch back and forth themselves as long as the hosting provider’s Theme Switching feature is enabled.

Added more languages

Meridian is now available in Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and Turkish. Server messages, such as Website Backups progress and the feature names and descriptions in WHM’s Feature Manager interface (WHM » Home » Packages » Feature Manager), now appear in your language.

Added the Connections tab

We added the Connections tab, which holds your API tokens and your MCP connection. Your hosting provider controls access to it with the MCP Connection feature in WHM’s Feature Manager interface (WHM » Home » Packages » Feature Manager).

Added a record of the AI Assistant’s changes

The AI Assistant now shows a record of the changes it made, and flags the ones worth a closer look. When you decline a change the assistant proposes, it now gives you step-by-step instructions to make the change yourself. The assistant also shows whether it can recover a paused action.

Added a bulk environment variable editor

We added a bulk .env editor to the App Env tab. Use the Reveal option to display current values. The editor guards against saving an incomplete file.

Deploy a web application to a domain you own

You can now deploy a web application onto a domain that your account already owns. This requires the AI App Hosting plugin version 1.0.2 or later. For more information on how a domain switches between serving files and serving an application, read our How Domains Serve Content documentation.

Introduced the Meridian interface

In cPanel & WHM version 138, we introduced Meridian, a new goal-based cPanel interface. Meridian organizes common hosting tasks into six purpose-built hubs for Websites, Email, Files, Databases, Security, and Performance. Its Dashboard highlights required actions, suggests relevant next steps, and provides an account overview.

Meridian’s Guided Setup lets users configure a domain, website, and email in one flow. Users can choose Sitejet Builder, WordPress, a Node.js application from a Git repository or zip file, or upload their own files.

Meridian also introduces several AI-powered capabilities. Availability varies by hosting provider, enabled features, and release tier.

• cPanel AI Assistant — An embedded chat panel in the Meridian interface that lets users ask questions about their account in plain language and get answers without leaving the interface. Users open it from the floating Ask AI button in the bottom-right corner. The assistant is context-aware: it recognizes the interface the user is on and any selected domain, and it offers suggested prompts relevant to the current hub. It can explain a feature or concept and guide users through a task step by step. It can also diagnose issues by reading read-only account details such as domains, disk quota, email accounts, FTP accounts, databases, SSL certificate status, and the AutoSSL error log. When the hosting provider enables it, the assistant can also complete simple changes, such as creating an email account, but only after the cPanel user approves the change. The assistant is opt-in during early access, and hosting providers enable it for their users.
• Nova — An AI website-building option in Guided Setup that generates a site with AI, alongside the existing Sitejet Builder, WordPress, and Node.js options.
• AI App Hosting — A plugin that deploys an AI-built Node.js application to a user’s account with Podman. This is distinct from the Guided Setup option for deploying a Node.js application from a Git repository or zip file. This release only supports subdomain deployments.
• Model Context Protocol (MCP) support — An integration that connects AI tools and agents to a cPanel account through the Model Context Protocol. It links the account to a WebPros MCP server so an MCP-capable AI client, such as Claude Code or Claude Desktop, can automate website deployment and account maintenance. Users can deploy an AI-built application to their website by asking their AI client, without needing to use SSH or manually manage API tokens.

Meridian is an opt-in alternative to the Jupiter interface, not a replacement for it. Jupiter remains fully supported for advanced and less-frequently used tools, and users can return to it at any time by selecting the Classic cPanel Theme option.
